Sharks on Top of Ladder After Round 2
Monday 17th of March, 2008

Round 2 of the SCAFL season guided us all to the city of Murrieta. What would normally be a sweltering day out in Riverside County turned out to be fantastic weather for Footy, a little wind, a little rain and a little sun......perfect.

The first game seen the OC Jets take on the LA Swans. What was thought to be a game with two evenly matched teams turned out to be a somewhat one sided affair with the Jets outgunning the Swans. The Jets used the ball more efficiently and it showed on the scoreboard.

The second game seen the Riverside Raiders play host to the Beachside Sharks. The Raiders had one of their deepest line-ups out on the field this season. The Sharks also had a sizable bench with a number of new players making their debut in the Blue and White. The first quarter seen the Sharks breaking out to small lead after a lot of missed shots and congestion in the forward line.
The second quarter was a different story with open play and straight kicking in front of the big sticks. The Sharks ran away from the Raiders throughout the match and nearly recorded a 100 point victory. Special mention to Braddles and Pauly who each kicked 7 majors. Also to our new Sharks who played a good game, Tyler, Milo and Dan, who kicked his first ever goal in Aussie Rules Footy.
