Sharks make the Grand Final!
Sunday 17th of June, 2007

The Sharks make the Grand Final in their first season as a footy club setting the new standard among the SCAFL clubs. The Sharks will face off with the Orange County Bombers metro footy team to play the GF at an undermined time and place.
The Beachside Sharks would like to thank their supporters for all the help this year and hope to have a Grand finish to the year bringing home the Wallaby's Cup. The Sharks won their last game against the Riverside Raiders led by gameday captain Paul Lindley. Lindley kicked four goals and led the Sharks charge through the middle with tough work and smooth kicking. Damien "Damo" Mills was named the Best Shark on the ground and won the classic 6-pack of Tooheys. His play was very aggressive and led the Shark attack through the forwards and into the goals.
Other notable were Jason Bottrell toughing out a quad injury heading up the fowards movement, Chris Olson, another Shark playing injured (knee) wheeling around the front and kicking goals. Also, Bob Wagner speared the half-back attack into the forwards with accurate kicking and tight defense work.
Also, the Sharks would like to thank new comer Steve Parker to the lineup and are looking forward to more great play out of the new Australian for the next two months.
In a disappointment, club president Adam "Kegga" Howarth, was assisted off the field by teammates after a shocking hamstring injury that will most likely leave him off the ground for a minimum of 8 weeks.
The Sharks are very pleased with their standing but are excited to being training for the Grand Final and changing the pace of footy in the SCAFL.

Cheers!
